City Tripping #123

Another two weeks has passed and another London landmark has been ticked off my travel list. I finally ventured inside St Paul’s Cathedral and was rewarded with the most incredible views over the London.

City Tripping London

I’m linking my visit to the Cathedral to this week’s City Tripping which will be undergoing some changes in the coming weeks. After nearly three years (can you believe it?) running the linky, Cathy and I have decided it’s time to step down from hosting. Don’t worry though, we are leaving it in good hands! I’m pleased to announce that Laura who runs Little Stuff and Have Kids Can Travel will be taking over the linky from September. Same great posts with city-based content – just with a different host.

I’ve loved running this linky and I am so proud of the wonderful community we have built up in 123 ink ups (so far). It has been quite an education to read about so many different cities around the world. I intend to keep linking up my travel tales when Laura takes over so my city knowledge will continue to grow.

Next week will be Cathy and I’s final City Tripping as hosts before the summer break then Laura will take it on from September 4th.

So we have two more linkys to host – lets get on with it! Please link up your posts below. Meanwhile, here’s Cathy’s favourites from last week.

The Best of Kew Gardens for children – The Small Explorer

The Christo London Mastaba – Cultural Wednesday

Do link up your own favourite city travel posts this week. The rules are below – please do join in with the comments and don’t forget the #citytripping tag if you can. Here’s how the City Tripping linky works…

What is the City Tripping linky?

Welcome to the City Tripping travel linky which I co-host with the fabulous Wander Mum. City Tripping is the place to come and link up your city-related travel posts. We want to find out the best of things to do and see in the city, any city in the world, whether you are travelling as a family, a couple or with friends or it’s your home turf.

It could be a day out, a review of an attraction, long weekend or sharing your best insider info and hidden gems – as long as it is city-related travel.

How to join in the travel linky fun

  • Link up one post – old or new. Please only link each post once.
  • Please add the City Tripping badge to the bottom of the post or link back to either Mummytravels.com or Wandermum.co.uk – the badge code is below
  • Posts must be about your travel experiences in a city – any city, from reviews of days out to longer breaks
  • Please share the linky love and comment on the host’s linked posts and at least two others which take your fancy, using #citytripping so everyone knows where you’re visiting from
  • Tweet us your links @wander_mum or @mummytravels along with the #citytripping hashtag and we will retweet to our followers
  • We’ll be sharing your posts elsewhere on social media – we’d love it if you wanted to follow us there too: Wander Mum (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and Pinterest) and MummyTravels (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and Pinterest)
  • The City Tripping linky will go live every Tuesday morning until 23.55pm on Thursday and will alternate between Wander Mum and myself. We’ll be sharing our favourites every week too.

Wander Mum

I've always loved to travel so when my two daughters came along, I didn't stop. Travelling as a family can have its ups and downs but I love showing my children the world and helping others navigate travelling with children in tow.

  1. You’re not going to host it anymore? Thanks for doing it for so long. I found a lot of bloggers to connect with through your Linkup and have read so many amazing city posts.

    1. Thank you Tanja. You’ve been a great regular and it has been wonderful to get to know you and the blog. We’ve decided it’s time for a new host so next week will be our last #citytripping
