City Tripping #35

The last week has seen us clock up 800 miles in the car, visit two French cities, get a flight to Italy’s chaotic Roma airport where we encountered…chaos. All completed in the company of my husband, three-year-old daughter and a six-week-old baby. It has been an interesting few days and we are barely into our two-week holiday! After a lot of travelling we are currently enjoying a slightly more relaxing time in a remote villa in eastern Italy with a group of friends. Just 20 adults and 16 children (I did say ‘slightly’ more relaxing).

All the while, in the real world, Andy Murray won Wimbledon, Portugal beat France to win the European Football Championships and the UK will soon have a new, female Prime Minister. It has been an eventful few days and, if I wasn’t on maternity, a very busy time for me in TV news.

How about you? What city adventures have you been up to this week? Looking forward to reading all about them in our City Tripping linky. This week I am linking up a post on my recent trip to a part of London’s Richmond Park I’d never discovered before while my co-host, Cathy from MummyTravels, is sharing more of her adventures in Burma. Enjoy reading.

What Is City Tripping?

City Tripping is the place to come and link up your city-related travel posts. We want to find out the best of things to do and see in the city, any city in the world, whether you are travelling as a family, a couple or with friends or it’s your home turf. It could be a day out, a review of an attraction, long weekend or sharing your best insider info and hidden gems – as long as it is city-related travel.

How To Join In

– Link up one post – old or new.

– Please add the City Tripping badge to the bottom of the post or link back to either Mummytravels.com or Wandermum.co.uk – the badge code is below

– Posts must be about your travel experiences in a city – any city, from reviews of days out to longer breaks.

– Please share the linky love and comment on the two hosts’ linked posts and at least two others which take your fancy, using #citytripping so everyone knows where you’re visiting from

– Tweet us your links @wander_mum and @mummytravels along with the #citytripping hashtag and we will retweet to our followers

– We’ll be sharing your posts elsewhere on social media – we’d love it if you wanted to follow us there too: Wander Mum (TwitterFacebook, YouTubeInstagram and Pinterest) and MummyTravels (TwitterFacebookInstagram and Pinterest)

– The City Tripping linky will go live every Tuesday morning until 23.55pm on Thursday and will alternate between MummyTravels and myself. We’ll be sharing our favourites every week too.

I've always loved to travel so when my two daughters came along, I didn't stop. Travelling as a family can have its ups and downs but I love showing my children the world and helping others navigate travelling with children in tow.

  1. 20 adults and 16 children?! Wow, you have my respect! I just hope you weren’t catering 😉 I’m not really too keen on the real world right now so I’d much rather read everyone else’s travel posts. Thanks for hosting!
