City Tripping #41

It has been a busy week in our household as our daughter turned FOUR! I can’t believe it has been four years since I became a mum but then it’s hard to imagine life without her or our newest addition who turns three months old today! To celebrate the fourth birthday, we took a trip to Peppa Pig World then we held a Princess party for 20 preschoolers at the weekend. Phew…  it was pretty full on!

It’s gradually sinking in that I have a four year old. Next stop school – eek. But not before we go away to Scandinavia. I am very much looking forward to discovering a new country and exploring various cities on our road trip. No doubt I shall get some inspiration from City Tripping – the linky I co-host with Cathy at MummyTravels. I am on hosting duties this week so link up your posts below. I am linking another one of my favourite London parks, Bushy Park near Hampton Court.

Our favourite posts from last week included a tech tour through Silicon Valley, the colourful houses of Burano, Italy, the many delights of Balboa Park and a look at the uber trendy Shoreditch in east London. Check them put if you haven’t already.

Over the past few weeks we have also been giving a shout out to the blogger who comments on the most blogs with the #citytripping tag. Last week it was Alex from Life Long Holiday clocking up an impressive 14 comments. Well done and a big thanks to all of you. Together you are helping to make the City Tripping community really special.

As well as sharing and commenting on your posts, we will also be pinning them on our City Tripping Pinterest board so if you need any more city inspiration, be sure to check it out and follow our Pinterest board featuring past posts. Let me know if you would like an invite to pin on the board.

What Is City Tripping?

City Tripping is the place to come and link up your city-related travel posts. We want to find out the best of things to do and see in the city, any city in the world, whether you are travelling as a family, a couple or with friends or it’s your home turf. It could be a day out, a review of an attraction, long weekend or sharing your best insider info and hidden gems – as long as it is city-related travel.

How To Join In

– Link up one post – old or new.

– Please add the City Tripping badge to the bottom of the post or link back to either Mummytravels.com or Wandermum.co.uk – the badge code is below

– Posts must be about your travel experiences in a city – any city, from reviews of days out to longer breaks.

– Please share the linky love and comment on the two hosts’ linked posts and at least two others which take your fancy, using #citytripping so everyone knows where you’re visiting from

– Tweet us your links @wander_mum and @mummytravels along with the #citytripping hashtag and we will retweet to our followers

– We’ll be sharing your posts elsewhere on social media – we’d love it if you wanted to follow us there too: Wander Mum (TwitterFacebook, YouTubeInstagram and Pinterest) and MummyTravels (TwitterFacebookInstagram and Pinterest)

– The City Tripping linky will go live every Tuesday morning until 23.55pm on Thursday and will alternate between MummyTravels and myself. We’ll be sharing our favourites every week too.

I've always loved to travel so when my two daughters came along, I didn't stop. Travelling as a family can have its ups and downs but I love showing my children the world and helping others navigate travelling with children in tow.
