City Tripping #42

Scandinavia. This time last year we had never been to the region, now we’ve visited three countries there. After falling in love with Copenhagen and a short trip to Malmo, we have just done two countries in the space of two days as we embark on a 10-day trip. We are currently in Gothenburg, Sweden after a brief visit to the Norwegian capital Oslo. Here we are at Gothenburg’s fortress on a rather windy day!

Lots to come on the blog about our trip but as I am travelling around a lot this week, I am letting Cathy from MummyTravels fly solo on this week’s City Tripping. Please link up your posts here. I will join in the linky but not as a host so you don’t have to comment on my post…just if you want! This week I am linking up five cities to visit with children.

Thanks to everyone who joined in last week, our favourites were…

Copenhagen: 48 Hour Itinerary For Castle Lovers – Wander Must Family
Buckingham Palace 2016 – Catherine Cultural Wednesday
Albert Dock Liverpool, Summer On The Dock – Mini Travellers
Alkmaar Cheese Market – Dutch Dutch Goose

Our top commenter this week with a whopping 21 comments was the machine that is Bumble Bee Mum. Thank you all so much for all your lovely comments it really makes this a wonderful travel linky community. Now, when we came up with the idea to give the top commenter a shout out we didn’t realise quite how time consuming it would be! On top of our own commenting, blogging and general life stuff (in my case a three-month-old baby), I’m afraid that today will be our final mention for the top commenter BUT please do keep up the good work!

As well as sharing and commenting on your posts, we will also be pinning them on our City Tripping Pinterest board so if you need any more city inspiration, be sure to check it out and follow our Pinterest board featuring past posts. Let me know if you would like an invite to pin on the board.

What Is City Tripping?

City Tripping is the place to come and link up your city-related travel posts. We want to find out the best of things to do and see in the city, any city in the world, whether you are travelling as a family, a couple or with friends or it’s your home turf. It could be a day out, a review of an attraction, long weekend or sharing your best insider info and hidden gems – as long as it is city-related travel.

How To Join In

– Link up one post – old or new. This week it is over with Cathy at MummyTravels

– Please add the City Tripping badge to the bottom of the post or link back to either Mummytravels.com or Wandermum.co.uk – the badge code is below

– Posts must be about your travel experiences in a city – any city, from reviews of days out to longer breaks.

– Please share the linky love and comment on the two hosts’ linked posts and at least two others which take your fancy, using #citytripping so everyone knows where you’re visiting from

– Every week we will give a mention to the blogger who has commented on the most posts linked up to City Tripping

– Tweet us your links @wander_mum and @mummytravels along with the #citytripping hashtag and we will retweet to our followers

– We’ll be sharing your posts elsewhere on social media – we’d love it if you wanted to follow us there too: Wander Mum (TwitterFacebook, YouTubeInstagram and Pinterest) and MummyTravels (TwitterFacebookInstagram and Pinterest)

– The City Tripping linky will go live every Tuesday morning until 23.55pm on Thursday and will alternate between MummyTravels and myself. We’ll be sharing our favourites every week too.

I've always loved to travel so when my two daughters came along, I didn't stop. Travelling as a family can have its ups and downs but I love showing my children the world and helping others navigate travelling with children in tow.
