Coffee House Etiquette

I am sitting in a coffee shop (where I managed to nab a nice comfy sofa) discretely breastfeeding Mrs T when along comes an old lady and plonks her shopping bags in the chair adjacent to me, without a word. I presume she is simply resting them there while she gets a coffee. No. She comes back with her drink, sits down and starts doing the newspaper crossword. I wouldn’t mind but she didn’t even ask if I minded NOR did she make an effort to distance herself from me a bit AND there were plenty of seats. What is that all about?? So rude. Feel my privacy is well and truly compromised. Plus, I am meeting a friend in a bit. If I hadn’t been so shocked would have told her to bugger off.

(I also feel a bit naughty talking about her behind her back because she is still right next to me now).

Shame Mrs T is so damn good if she was screaming she’d probably have left long ago.

Mrs T gives you all a wave by the way (I think she’s been watching too much coverage of the Pope’s inauguration)

“Hello! I’m enjoying chewing my Mum’s feeding blanket. Yum. God bless you.”

Wander Mum

I've always loved to travel so when my two daughters came along, I didn't stop. Travelling as a family can have its ups and downs but I love showing my children the world and helping others navigate travelling with children in tow.
