Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler’s delightful book, Stick Man, has been one of my daughter’s favourites since she was a toddler. Now six years old, the book continues to entertain her – and she’s not the only one.
The book’s popularity has seen it turned into a BBC TV animation and adapted for the stage. We’ve see the theatre show twice (so far). This year marks the book’s 10th anniversary and Stick Man Live has returned to the Leicester Square theatre in London to entertain families once more.
The stage adaptation brings the story of the hapless hero to life as he attempts to return home to the family tree. With catchy tunes, audience interaction and a colourful range of costumes and characters performed by a talented cast, the 55 minute show bounces along and has an appeal for the whole family.
