City Tripping #79

The tragic events in my home city of London have left me with a heavy heart. My thoughts go out to those affected. I love London. It is my home and my favourite city in the world. For people to be targeted for enjoying everything the UK capital has to offer is sickening. But London is resilient. Its spirit will not be broken.

If you do have a London-related post, please don’t shy away from linking it up to this week’s City Tripping. Lets remember those who have lost their lives and are injured but also celebrate the great city of London.

Thank you to Leona from WanderMust Family who hosted for Cathy last week. Her favourites were.

What Is City Tripping?

City Tripping is the place to come and link up your city-related travel posts. We want to find out the best of things to do and see in the city, any city in the world, whether you are travelling as a family, a couple or with friends or it’s your home turf. It could be a day out, a review of an attraction, long weekend or sharing your best insider info and hidden gems – as long as it is city-related travel.

How To Join In

– Link up one post – old or new.

– Please add the City Tripping badge to the bottom of the post or link back to either Mummytravels.com or Wandermum.co.uk – the badge code is below

– Posts must be about your travel experiences in a city – any city, from reviews of days out to longer breaks.

– Please share the linky love and comment on the host’s linked post and at least two others which take your fancy, using #citytripping so everyone knows where you’re visiting from

– Tweet us your links @wander_mum and @mummytravels along with the #citytripping hashtag and we will retweet to our followers

– We’ll be sharing your posts elsewhere on social media – we’d love it if you wanted to follow us there too: Wander Mum (Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, Instagram and Pinterest) and MummyTravels (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and Pinterest)

– The City Tripping linky will go live every Tuesday morning until 23.55pm on Thursday and will alternate between MummyTravels and myself. We’ll be sharing our favourites every week too.

I've always loved to travel so when my two daughters came along, I didn't stop. Travelling as a family can have its ups and downs but I love showing my children the world and helping others navigate travelling with children in tow.

  1. I just did a double take as I clicked back from linking up on Inlinkz to see Tracy’s Europe UNESCO post next to mine – the Mont St Michel photo is mine and for a split second I was completely confused! Lots of culture for citytripping then this week!

  2. My two favourite cities are London & Manchester and I feel terrible and uplifted at the same time. Terrible for the events and uplifted by the people’s response. Please NEVER again though. I was in Central London Saturday for the theatre and but for a post show drink would have been at London Bridge Station at the time of the attack. Away from danger but part of the knock-on. I used to go through Borough Market every day to go to work and have been in the pubs and restaurants around there many times. It all brings the tragic events that closer to home…..

    1. It certainly does Wilbur. So pleased it hear you weren’t caught up in it. It’s a place many of us are familiar with so could have been any of us. Yes, never again please. Glad you’re safe X
